The band was initially formed in 1993 although under a different name and guise completely, by Kenny Gray the bands Bass player/ Vocalist. Kenny advertised for a keyboard player and drummer when a fresh faced Bob Fenton applied, (although Bob was a guitarist/ Vocalist), he was keen to join a band and determined not to let the fact that he had miss-read the advert stand in his way.

It must have been fate, Bob was auditioned by Kenny and the guitarist at the time, Tony Brown, and was given a shot as lead guitar. Kenny, Tony and Bob played together for a few years when their keyboard player was forced to relocate due to his full time job. Enter Gavin Harrison, Keyboard player extraordinaire, Gav had previously been in a local band and fancied a change to a bigger unit, after having taken a brief break whilst at university Gav returned to band in 2000. To cut a long story short Dave Barraclough joined the band in 2003 after the long time Drummer Graham 'charlie' Watts retired to a life of luxury. Dave brought a new injection of life and settled into the band almost straight away.
Late 2008 Gav decided to leave the band to pursue his photography career. Dave Perkin answered the call for a keys player and has fitted into the band without a problem.'"Perky" has brought in another injection of life into the band.

Bob Fenton - Lead Guitar and Lead Vocals
Born in Lancashire, raised in Yorkshire, so obviously has the best of both attributes. Strong in arm and strong in head! (or so he thinks!) Bob is the loudest member of the band playing lead guitar and lead vocals. Bob is well known for his string bending and can often be seen swapping guitars mid song after having snapped his G-string. Bob enjoys a wide variety of music tastes including Clapton, Hendrix,Knopfler, Moore and all the blues greats. Nobody is safe from Bob when he is in the audience, like bears, it is advisable not to run when he has you in his sights!!
Outside the band Bob works as a Project Manager for a leading Recruitment Company travelling the length and breadth of the country, no different to the band. Bob, is the only consistent member of the band who has the ability to get the beers in without fail. He enjoys most sport, doesn't read books!
Ambitions:- To one day be able to turn up to a gig, play and then go home without having to lug all the tackle around!

Kenny "4 String" Gray... Bass Guitar and Vocals
Kenny is a Geordie (yes, there's always one about ain`t there!) from South Shields. Moved to Selby eighteen years ago to work the coal mines. Times change and now he isa facilities manager for a pharmaceutical company. Kenny is the organiser of the band. Anything that needs repairing, fixing, adapted etc, Kenny's the man. He also runs and edits the website, sorts out gigs and drives the band van. He occasionally gets the round in, but as he is normally the first to arrive at the gig, he has a round of one!! Kenny plays bass guitar and vocals. Has lots of band experience both in Yorkshire and the North East. Hobbies are photography, classic cars, playing on his new toy.. his 1200 Suzuki Bandit motorbike...weather permitting and researching his family history. Plays Warwick Thumb bass guitars and uses Trace Elliot amplification. Musical tastes vary from classical to rock..."got to have a good bass beat and a catchy riff" and non of that "boom boom whey oh" shit that sounds that the players stuck!!
Ambitions:- To see Newcastle United win something!! To play a really large gig with thousands of people cheering us!! !

Dave Barraclough...Drums
Dave started playing the Drums in his late teens. Exploiting his sociopathic tendancies to the max he then locked himself in his bedroom for the next four years in order to try and master his instrument (he also played the drums a bit). Once unleashed into the outside world Dave played in a number of bands in the Yorkshire area, before, in his mid twenties moving down to London. He then spent the next ten years playing in the same kind of bands as he did in the North (except they spoke funny). Having got sick & tired of paying massive rents to live in shitty one bedroon flats he decided to move back up to his birth place in Yorkshire in a vain attemp to grow up & try to overcome his obvious state of arrested development. It has worked (to a degree) & since April 2003 he has been the drummer of Matrix. Dave is happy about this. Not only does he get to hit his drums at very satisfying regularity, he also has a drum riser to put his drums on so the audiences can see him; also he gets to do a drum solo (which is nice). In his spare time Dave likes to watch Huddersfield Town - but only when its not cold which means that he never goes to see them between the months of October & March. As an alternative diversion he likes to watch the DVD of his favorite film which is Cinema Paradiso. In the summer he also plays Tennis for his local club. He is in the D team & has not won a match in 4 years - something he is particularly proud of. To the rest of the band he is known as Daveyboy. Must be something ironic there as he is in fact 41years old.
